What is a lymphatic drainage massage?
A massage of gentle, rhythmic strokes at light, precise pressure, kept light from start to finish. If a stroke ever feels like too much, say so and your therapist eases off.
How is lymphatic drainage different from Swedish or deep tissue?
Swedish runs from light to firm, and deep tissue uses slow, deep strokes on tight muscles; the Swedish vs deep tissue guide compares those two. For another gentle option at the same $90 an hour, aromatherapy massage, booked by phone, uses soft pressure and essential oils.

Should I book a full lymphatic session or the add-on?
For light work throughout, book the full session: $90 for the hour, against $100 for a deep tissue hour with the 10-minute add-on. The add-on suits a booking that should be mostly firm, with 10 lighter minutes added.
| What you want | What to book | Price |
|---|---|---|
| A full session of light, rhythmic work | Lymphatic drainage massage, 60 minutes | $90 |
| More time at the same light pressure | Lymphatic drainage massage, 90 minutes | $130 |
| Firm work on tight muscles, plus 10 light minutes | Deep tissue, 60 minutes, with the lymphatic add-on | $100 |
The full sessions book online. The add-on is booked by phone together with your main service, so call (470) 549-2020 for that pairing; the pricing page lists all 15 add-ons.

Which length is best for a first lymphatic drainage massage?
60 minutes: long enough to learn whether you like pressure this light before you book 90. New to massage altogether? The first massage guide covers booking, what to wear and what to tell your therapist.

Can I book a lymphatic drainage massage after surgery?
Only with clearance from your surgeon, cosmetic surgery included, and on the timing your surgeon sets. If your recovery plan calls for lymphatic drainage, book it with the provider your surgeon names. Once you are cleared for a spa massage, tell us the date of the surgery when you book.
With lymphedema, or a doctor's warning that you are at risk of it, ask that doctor before booking any massage here. A spa massage does not replace the lymphedema care your doctor arranges.

Who else should check with a doctor before lymphatic drainage?
Anyone with new or unexplained swelling or a history of blood clots should see a doctor before booking, and anyone in cancer treatment should ask their cancer care team first.
- Pregnancy: ask your obstetrician or midwife, then book the prenatal massage, which is adjusted for pregnancy.
- A skin condition or a healing wound where you want massage: tell the therapist where it is before the session starts.
Lymphatic drainage here is a relaxation massage: Health & Healing does not diagnose or treat conditions, and our massage sits alongside whatever plan your doctors give you.
